We are looking for people who feel inspired to help others by volunteering for our dedicated Hospice. We have a variety of roles that you can be a part of to help support our patients and our team. Volunteers can either serve in the office or in direct patient care.

Office volunteers help by doing any of the following:

  • answering phones
  • putting together charts
  • making flyers
  • helping to send out bereavement letters
  • and more!
Patient care volunteers help by providing in-person support to our patients and their families. This may include:
  • sitting with the patient while the family runs errands
  • visiting with the patient to provide companionship
  • sharing any special talent you have with the patient
    • examples:
      • music
      • singing
      • arts
      • crafts
      • playing games
      • reading a story
We also seek student interns completing a degree in Nursing or as Office or Medical Assistants. These special individuals obtain their needed hours to graduate while obtaining valuable, compassionate experience. Also, college students can earn valuable experience to later take into the workforce.

You will receive an orientation to teach you what you need to know. You choose how many hours that you want to serve each month. You choose if you want to help in our centrally located office or if you want to be with patients. If you choose to work with patients, we will place you with a patient in an area of town that you choose.
