Passion for Life (P4L) The mission of Passion for Life is to help high school students identify their passion and help them create a plan to turn them into rewarding careers.

Due to the impact of COVID 19 to our programs, it has caused our organization to be proactive and think differently resulting in multiple projects to manage. The Project Manager will support the Executive Director and team in overseeing and managing operations and initiatives. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing project tasks and activities.

Timeframe: 12-16 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Executive Director and teams to assemble the required documentation (project plan, change management plan, risk log, etc.) and conduct planning, coordinating and communicating project activities
  • Updates leadership on maintenance, progress reporting and distribution of project plans utilizing project-based planning tools
  • Assists leadership in performing regular reporting of project progress "actuals" against forecast: schedule; milestones; cost, and scope
  • Assists leadership by coordinating activities with all functions to ensure that all milestones on the plans are achieved. Checks progress on tasks being performed by the project teams
  • Coordinates Meetings, maintains meeting minutes, progress and status reports, and gathers, assembles, and disseminates information for team

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience in project management or related experience field
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work against critical project timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Proven experience in identifying, analyzing, problem-solving and responding to internal and external opportunities and challenges with the ability to translate these into practical plans of action
  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively and support others in the development and implementation of agreed strategies within team and wider organizational contexts
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work well with others
  • Collaborate on projects as both a team leader and a team member
  • Must possess initiative and creativity; a highly developed work ethic
