A Little TIme, A Profound Effect

At Compassus Hospice, we care for people who have been given the prognosis of 6 months or less to live. Our patients live in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and their own homes. It is our goal to provide the best quality of life at the end of life for our patients through a holistic, person-centered approach. If you like to sew, we could use your help. We are seeking donations of fabric headbands that have buttons on the side so facemasks can hook onto the buttons and not the wearer's ears. If you like to sew and would like to donate some of these, our nurses and aides would greatly appreciate it!

Please email Kim Iannacci at kimberly.iannacci@compassus.com or call the office at 978 777-8222 for more information.

Andover, Chelmsford, Wilmington and Billerica to name just some of the towns.

Description

Compassus Hospice volunteers play a vital role in carrying out our mission to preserve each patient’s dignity while removing the fear associated with dying. Individuals who are 18 and older who are willing to share one to four hours per week are encouraged to apply to our program. Serving as a volunteer will enrich your own life in ways you can’t begin to imagine.

No previous experience in the medical field is necessary, and you will be prepared for your role with a free, comprehensive training program. This training will help you learn how to provide emotional support, companionship and respite care to patients and families.
