COVID-19 Health Crisis volunteers needed to pack and distribute meals.

Volunteers are needed to help package and distribute meals to people experiencing food insecurity. Our 'drive-through' emergency food pantry serves an average of 350-450 households each day we are open.
Volunteers must be at least age 15, in good health, able to stand 2+ hours at a time and lift 15+ pounds. Volunteer tasks may include bagging fresh produce, boxing meals, placing donations in client vehicles.

Shifts are Mon/Wed./Fri. from 8:30-11:00 or 11:00-1:30. Hand sanitizer, gloves, and masks are made available as supplies allow. Volunteer tasks are outdoors and volunteer spots are limited to maintain safe social distancing.

From parents working minimum wage jobs struggling to put food on the table, to retired couple who have trouble paying for expensive medications, hunger is a reality for a growing number of South Carolinians.
