ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Texas Gulf Coast Region

Volunteers assist those affected by disasters in their community from home fires to tornadoes and everything in between. Serving as a disaster event case reviewer volunteer allows you an opportunity to provide help to those in need. The Recovery Event Reviewer confirms and documents that an event actually happened when two Disaster Action Team (DAT) responders are not available:

  • Confirm and document in RC Care that an event actually happened.
  • Coordinate with local emergency and response officials to confirm events as needed.
  • Confirm events through social and traditional media links.
*Recovery Event Reviewers may not hold any other role in RC Care; may hold other positions in various lines of services.
