Food Bank Loader/Helper

Help the most visited and the most revisited food bank in King County distribute culturally familiar food

Number of Positions: 2-3

Position Hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am - 12pm


  • Must be comfortable lifting packages of up to 25 - 50lbs or using a dolly
  • Must be under age 60 (*Please consider the CDC recommendations for at risk populations)
  • Must be currently be free of any symptoms (*Must be currently free of any flu or cold symptoms for at least 72 hours before working)

Precautions at site:

  • Opportunity for social distancing (will not be needing to physically work with another person) (*Social distancing of 6 feet of work areas)
  • Gloves provided
  • Facemask provided
  • Area is sanitized
  • No in-person physical contact required

The ACRS Food Bank is operating on a limited basis and working with other community partners to get food to those experiencing hunger. Packages of food are being distributed on a 1-by-1 basis to a table just outside the food bank where they are being picked up by food bank clients or community partners such as CISC, ICHS and others. Tasks include: Prepping food packages and bagging rice in the food bank and bringing packages of food to the distribution table outside of the food bank.

Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization offering a broad array of human services and behavioral health programs to Asian Pacific Americans in King County. ACRS is the largest multiservice organization serving all the different Asian Pacific American communities - immigrants, refugees and American born - in the Pacific Northwest.
