Role: Help support our community members and youth by providing tutoring services virtually through our Microsoft TEAMS and Zoom platforms. Virtual tutoring support

(High School courses: Statistics, Chemistry, Algebra, Pre Calculus, and Government)

Requirements:

-Access to the internet, and own personal devices (computer/laptop/tablet with camera & Microphone)

Here is the process of virtual volunteering during our COVID-19 transition; Step 1: Upload Completed Application and Scanned ID (via email or through our website): File Upload Step 2: Conduct a phone/call interview to review the application. This allows us to touch base regarding our volunteer program schedule/needs. Step 3: Clear a Background Check ($10 fee) Step 4: Attend Volunteer Orientation (Online PowerPoint Presentation) Step 5: Placed at the site, begin volunteering (Online Virtual Administrative Support)

In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica has made significant efforts to remain viable to our kids and their families. We are shifting our model to provide distance-learning and services online, raising money for direct cash assistance, and harnessing resources for program support for our under-resourced kids and families.
