Hammer supports individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. We have 36 homes and 10 apartment programs that are staffed with direct service providers. We are located in St. Louis Park, Wayzata, Plymouth, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, Edina, Crystal, and New Hope.
We are looking for volunteers who can sew. In order to keep our staff and individuals safe,we are in need of 1500 reusable face masks by next week - April 10th. Links to directions on how to make the face masks can be found below.
We can pick up the masks, or they can be dropped off at our central office in Wayzata. They will be distributed to our staff and individuals we support in each home and apartment program in all 8 cities where we serve.
- We are located at 1909 Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN 55391
- We can also reimburse for materials if needed.
Here are two links on how to make CDC approved face masks. They contain video directions as well as written with pictures. The links are here:

If we get more than the 1500, we will donate to other organizations that will need them.
I can be reached at 952-345-8554 or cthoma@hammer.org.
Thank you so very much!
Sincerely,
Cathy
