Role: Locating Tech equipment and supplies via In-Kind donations. This includes; laptops, desktops, tablets, computers, printers, etc. [Fully operational/working condition]
In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica has made significant efforts to remain viable to our kids and their families.
We are shifting our model to provide distance-learning and services online, raising money for direct cash assistance, and harnessing resources for technological support for our under-resourced kids and families.
There will continue to be an immeasurable need for our most under-resourced kids whose families are already feeling the financial strain of shortened hours and business closures. We are also facing the challenge of ensuring our low-income kids have the online tools and devices they need. As we work to get our children connected remotely, we've spent time preparing our staff with devices, internet access, and communication platforms.
Now, we’re working diligently to provide this same connection for our kids (devices, software, and Internet access) and begin to provide them with online learning activities such as homeschool support, mentorship, tutoring, games, and other remote activities
