Save to Favorites

Hi Ya'll !!

If you would like to get outdoors in this beautiful Virginia weather while maintaining social distancing recommendations set forth by the government, we would love for you to come out to volunteer to help us care for our farm animals such as ponies, alpacas, baby goats, baby ducklings, sheep, llamas and much more!

You can help for 30 minutes or all day... it is up to you on how long you'd like to stay.

Please contact us today if you would like to come help care, clean up, wash, groom and enjoy some animal love time. :) Thank you! Thank you!

** we will happily sign off on any volunteer hours and/or write you a letter of recommendation for work, school, colleges or any programs that require hours.

Mission Statement

The Barnyard Foundation is a non-profit organization, a military family founded, dedicated to offering the Hampton Roads & Smithfield Virginia community the opportunity to experience farm animals through recreational, interactive, and empowering programs for youth, adults, and families. Help us reach the community to provide the benefits of Animal-Assisted Activities/therapy PLUS provide care for our farm animal rescues, retired and rehabilitated farm friends at our Barnyard animal sanctuary.

We need volunteers! We recently moved to Smithfield Virginia from Las Vegas nevada ( yes, we moved across the country!! ) .

All our previous volunteers are back in Nevada. We need volunteers to help us care for animals at our sanctuary or go to off-site locations to help us provide our educational & empowering animal experiences.

Please visit the website for more details.

And contact us to volunteer. thank you!
