Distribute blood to area hospitals as a routine or "stat" delivery. Pick up and return boxes. Complete required paperwork and obtain signatures. Communicate and share feedback between Red Cross personnel and customers. It is preferred, volunteers are available for one shift per week or once every other week. Shifts are typically 4 - 6 hours. Weekday and weekend shifts are available. All shifts begin and end at 2425 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. Valid state driver's license with 3 years driving experience. Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. Orientation and Transportation Specialist training required. Will drive Red Cross car with Red Cross logo. Shifts are flexible. Please Note: If you reside in a "stay-at-home" or "shelter in place" area, blood collection staff and volunteers are considered essential. You are permitted to go to/from the Blood Center and hospitals if you choose to help. You will be provided with Red Cross identification. Additional details will be provided upon completion of the application process.
