Explore the stars with us! Sign up to be a Planetarium Presenter to help teach the community about the wonders of the universe through pre-recorded and live shows in our beautiful planetarium.

Planetarium Presenters collect tickets, welcome visitors, and run digital A/V equipment. They can also learn how to present live and interactive shows, if they desire! This role is most popular with our adult and retired volunteers, but we get interest from all ages. Please be comfortable speaking in public and have basic A/V experience. Some background knowledge about astronomy is highly preferred. Planetarium Presenters will get an extra one-on-one training with the Planetarium Director before they start.

Check online for our current schedule:
Tues-Thurs: two public shows in the late afternoon, private shows for field trips in the mornings/afternoons
Fri-Sun: public shows throughout the day
(Schedule changes over summer)

Required: All volunteers must attend a mandatory training session, as well as complete either a background check (for volunteers 18+) or reference check (for volunteers under 18 years old), before they can work any shifts. Let us know if you’re interested in this position and the volunteer coordinator will let you know when the next training session has been scheduled.
