Covenant Community, Inc. Mission:
Our mission is to provide resources and tools to help clients achieve personal life stabilization and full-time employment, enabling them to return to their families and communities as productive citizens.
Volunteer Role Requirements:
- Individual needs to be licensed and in good standing within the state of Georgia to practice psychiatry, internal medicine and/or general practice medicine.
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
- Individual must pass a background check to include finger printing (CCI will pay for background check)
- Must pass pre-hire drug screen and TB test (CCI will pay for drug screen and TB test)
- CCI has liability insurance, however, the physician is asked to carry liability insurance for at least 1 million dollars.
Volunteer Role Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation to the Executive Director, Clinical Director and Registered Nurse of a licensed substance use treatment facility (in-patient 14-bed, serving homeless men 18+ dealing w/ substance use disorders).
- Consultation will include guidance around appropriate intake of a client and recommendations for medical services with Grady Hospital, Mercy Care and other organizations that provide medical services to the homeless.
- No more than 2 to 3 hours a month.
- Consultation may be by phone or e-mail.

Description
Covenant Community, Inc. (CCI) is an intensive multi-service program for individuals seeking or in recovery of substance use disorders (SUDs). We are comprised of four main programs; a residential program, a transitional housing program, a Peer-led Recovery Community Organization, Recovery Resources Atlanta Midtown and an alumni organization, Men of Hope comprised of previous participants.
