CIVIC WORKS

map with pins

We advocate for human rights in a very direct and personal way, by making contacts with people around the world who are in situations where it would be helpful to have someone on their side, to help raise their stories or lobby for them.

This is also a chance to create your own initiative and join with other volunteers to make it happen, with advice and mentorship from others who are experienced.

Or, come join our group and find out what projects are already going on, that you can help support.

Currently we support a group of women in Afghanistan, a community of Syrians who escaped from Aleppo, some students in Myanmar, women in Kibera, Kenya, and disappeared journalists in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. We work on whatever we are connected to and you are welcome to add something you are passionate about.

We'd love to have you join us.

About CIVIC WORKS

Location:

10923 Progress Court #3326, Rancho Cordova, CA 95741, US

Mission Statement

We created civ.works as a platform for all of us to work together to overcome the corrupting influence of money in politics. Together we can address bad policy, legislation and to hold all of our elected officials accountable. For democracy to work -our government must represent "We the People". civ.works: Together. We can.

Description

civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.

The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
