Eugene Science Center is looking for volunteers 18 years old and over to help out in our workshop! Volunteers will work closely with our Exhibits & Facilities Director to build, repair, and install interactive exhibits for the museum floor. Previous experience in carpentry, electrical/mechanical engineering, or graphic design is helpful, but not essential. Facilities volunteers will also work on the grounds, keeping the building and property in good repair.

Shifts: Facilities work is most needed on Monday (when we are closed to the general public), however the workshop is open throughout the week. Schedule can be determined depending on availability.

Required: All volunteers must attend a mandatory training session, as well as complete either a background check (for volunteers 18+) or reference check (for volunteers under 18 years old), before they can work any shifts. Let us know if you’re interested in this position and the volunteer coordinator will let you know when the next training session has been scheduled.
