Outside the Lens is seeking assistance for our Media Educators for our 2020 Summer Camps. In this role, you will help in implementing photography and film classes at multiple sites, Support your community and build your teaching skills that can be applied to your future work experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing lesson plans and curriculum for Outside the Lens programs
- Help manage classrooms of 15 - 35 students in grades 3 - 12
- Work with students individually and in groups to facilitate the achievement of student learning objectives and the successful completion of photography and digital media projects
- Prepare cameras and media lab space for classes
- Operate and maintain camera equipment and classroom space
- Organize & handle students’ digital files
- Assist in multimedia curriculum development and teacher training materials
*Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age

- Choose an opportunity from the list below that fits your interests and availability: FULL DAY volunteers work from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. HALF DAY volunteers may choose to work from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
- Must be at least 16 There will be MANDATORY orientation and training. You have the option of attending two separate dates in May
