Are you a big kid at heart? Do you enjoy having fun whilst supporting others? This is not your every day volunteering opportunity!
At the Carerstrust East Midlands we support Young Carers, aged from 7 to 17, across Nottinghamshire, by providing them monthly fun activities within their local district. These activities allow them to meet other Young Carers and share experiences, they reduce their social isolation, we can get their feedback on current services and improvements required, and they allow the kids to be kids.
Past activities have included 4x4 driving, air rifle shooting, pool inflatable session, visit to the local fire station, making and eating pizzas, go kart racing, nerf wars, and building outside dens.
We are looking for reliable big kids, with huge hearts, to join in the activities and encourage the Young Carers to interact with each other whilst ensuring they all have fun and in a safe environment.
Don't worry if you don't have experience in supervising children, full training is given.
There is a high possibility you may get wet, you may get muddy, and we guarantee you'll have fun and feel rewarded helping support these amazing Young Carers.

REQUIREMENTS
- Background Check
- Must be at least 18
- Orientation or Training
- There is usually one event per district, per month, either in an evening or at a weekend. Some school holidays we may do events during the daytime. Most activities last approx. 2 hours. We like if you can commit to a minimum of one event per month.
- We will need to carry out a criminal record check (DBS) for you to volunteer for us. The Carerstrust East Midlands will fund this. Note, a criminal record does not mean you cannot volunteer for us. We assess everyone individually.
