Ready to pick up a hammer?
Few things in life are more rewarding than seeing the gratitude expressed by a new homeowner when they are presented with the keys to their new home. The knowledge that you were able to help a family realize a dream and a new beginning can be tremendously satisfying.
Habitat is founded on its volunteers, and it takes dozens to complete a build. Our affiliate builds from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Please check with us to see what days/towns we are currently building.
In many cases, no formal experience in the trades is necessary, just a desire to help and the ability to cheerfully take direction. For any task you are asked to do, we can provide the needed instruction and safety information.
We are always looking for volunteers with or without construction skills: Crew leaders, greeters, hammer swingers, sandwich makers, all are welcome!

Bringing families and communities in need together with volunteers & resources to build decent, affordable housing. We are a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization. Throughout Washington, Warren and Northern Saratoga counties, people of all faiths, races and backgrounds work together in equal partnership, building new relationships and a sense of community.
Description
Since 1991, with the support of local communities, church groups, corporations, small businesses and professional organizations, our affiliate volunteers have built many houses, each in partnership with a local family.

- We usually work on the build site from 9 am-3 pm. But if you can only work a half day, we are ok with that too!
