360 Communities continues to be committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our clients, volunteers and staff. We are carefully monitoring the rapidly evolving communications and recommendations from the CDC, government agencies and state and local officials. We are all aware of the role that COVID-19 is playing in our lives and thank you for being interested in helping our community. Our food shelves are considered essential services and are open.

While we each consider our choices and options to keep ourselves and our families safe and healthy, there are more people than ever in our community that need our help receiving food. It is important to 360 Communities that we continue to reach and serve those in need. We are continuing to serve families at our Burnsville Food Shelf through a pre-packed, drive up model with these protocols in place:

  • Appointments are still being made for food appointments.
  • Volunteers and staff are pre-packing food and taking it out to a table for the families to pick up their food order when they arrive.
  • The doors are locked to this site and only volunteers and staff are allowed inside.
  • There are no in person meetings taking place.
  • Constant hand washing and surface disinfection is occurring throughout each shift.
  • Volunteers and staff are required to wear a mask during their entire shift.

We need volunteers to help us sustain our ability to serve families who need food! If you are in a situation where you are concerned about volunteering and your health, we encourage you to please stay home and come back to volunteer with us when the COVID-19 virus concerns pass.

If you are in the low risk category and are healthy, and would like to help support your community, we have volunteer opportunities available. The following link will take you to a third party site, SignUpGenius that lists all our shifts and openings: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d4fafaa2fa5fa7-burnsville3. At the start of each shift, we need volunteers to be able to answer no to the following questions:

  • Do you have a new or worsening cough (that is not typical for you)?
  • Are you running a fever that is high for you (higher than what your temperature is normally)?
  • Do you have shortness of breath that is unusual for you?
  • Are you feeling extremely lethargic or tired beyond what is normal for you?
  • Do you have a sore throat or cough?
  • Have you been exposed to anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms recently?

If you answer yes to any of these questions we ask that you not sign up to volunteer until you can answer no to all questions. If you become ill once you have signed up for a shift(s), please go back to the link and delete yourself off the shift(s).

We encourage you to check back to the SignUpGenius link frequently as peoples availability to volunteer changes daily and there will be additional open shifts as a result. Additionally, as we go forward, we will be adding additional dates to this link.

We are happy to have high school age students and those that are off work as a result of the virus, volunteer during this time frame. We encourage you to consider this opportunity only if you are comfortable with it and feel that you are not a carrier of the virus.

Thank you for choosing 360 Communities to donate your time and talent to. Without you, we would not be able to serve our community!
