MREA Brisk Fall Clean Up Day (BFCU)
Oct. 17th, 2020 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Who? The MREA promotes renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living through education and demonstration.
What? The Brisk Fall Clean Up Day at the Midwest Renewable Energy Association
When? Saturday, October 17th, 2020 from 10 am - 3 pm (Not required to stay for the whole event, but it would be appreciated!)
Where? 7558 Deer Road Custer WI at our ReNew the Earth Institute.
Why?
Our usual Brisk Fall Cleanup Day has been modified to for 2020 due to COVID-19 precautions. Following CDC guidelines this event is limited to 10 volunteers, masks are mandatory, and all volunteers must RSVP in advance.Join us for a fun day of Fall cleanup at MREA’s headquarters in Custer, WI. We’ll prepare our site for the colder months, and we would love your help. Please dress for the weather, and warm up by our wood burning masonry heater. Food and drink will be provided.
Some tasks we will be focusing on:
- Spitting wood*
- REI grounds cleanup*
- General inventory and cleaning
*Please consider bringing tools for your personal use

Description
MREA leads innovative programs to promote sustainablility and renewable energy in the Midwest. We offer one of the country’s top solar training programs and run one of the largest grassroots sustainability events in the nation. In 1990 we were incorporated as a 501(c)3 non profit after The First Annual Energy Fair. We’re headquartered in Custer, WI with remote offices in Milwaukee, WI and Saint Paul, MN.
We’re always looking for volunteers throughout the year and to help run our Energy Fair taking place in Custer, WI on June 21-23, 2019. We’re an organization that was established by hardworking and enthusiastic volunteers. We hope you’ll join us for some volunteer fun! Shine On-
