In 2016, 45 percent of Amedisys’ care centers across the country were named to the HomeCare Elite(tm), a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. This includes 14 care centers on the Top 500 list and an additional four on the Top 100 list. For more than ten years, HomeCare Elite has annually identified the top 25 percent of agencies.
Hospice Honors is a prestigious, annual honor recognizing hospice care centers that continuously provide the highest level of care and satisfaction as measured from the caregiver’s point of view. An impressive 50 percent of Amedisys’ hospice care centers received Hospice Honors recognition. Two of these earned the distinction of Honors Elite, meaning they scored above the national average on 100 percent of the performance measure indicators.
We Honor Veterans is a national awareness campaign conducted by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Its goal is to help hospice professionals better understand the challenges veterans may be facing from illness, isolation or traumatic life experiences and guide them to a more peaceful death.
