The NC Museum of History is currently seeking applications for volunteer museum docents. Our docents are a lively group of history lovers who primarily engage museum visitors with discovery carts located throughout our exhibit galleries. We are also seeking docents who have the skills and desire to lead guided tours of our exhibits for visitors of all ages. If you have a passion for NC history and enjoy sharing that interest with others, please contact us today.
We will be conducting interviews with potential new docents during the summer in anticipation of our new docent training series which will begin this fall.
Please note: this opportunity is principally for adults age 18 and over, but we typically accept a very limited number of high-school students into the docent training series.
