Volunteers will meet with coordinators at 6:15 to go over responsibilities. Volunteers will accompany gate captains and block captains to designated locations to check in parade participants. Volunteers will be responsible for keeping parade participants in line and the fire lane clear. When parade kicks off, volunteers will be dismissed at the discretion of their block and gate captains. This volunteers position involves a lot of walking
Parade take place on Douglas Ave. Running From intersection Douglas Ave/River Bluff Rd to Douglas/Highland Ave

Description
Elgin Allies has many volunteer opportunities for individual residents,students, business groups, churches and service clubs interested in giving back to the community and helping the city enhance the quality of life for all residents through giving back of our time and talents. Opportunities to serve range anywhere from working in community gardens, to helping at a city event, assisting with administrative duties for various city departments, or becoming a "snow buddy", shoveling snow for seniors.
