The Media and Promotions Chair works closely with the Event Chair to drive earned media and social media traction for Lip Sync for Lungs.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifies promotional opportunities with businesses.
- Creates social media content for sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
- Directs, motivates and encourages others to promote the event where possible.
- Develop a plan for event promotion and marketing materials/resources.
- Cultivate relationships with contacts in media outlets and other organizations with a broad reach.
- Seeks to identify those who are willing to share their stories in person, in writing, and/or with the media.
- Ensure that all other committee volunteers are considering event promotion and marketing in their plans.
- Takes photos when appropriate.
- Live tweets/social media the day of the event.
All committee members should work toward a $1,500 give/get to financially support the event.

For more than 120 years, people living in America have trusted the American Lung Association to protect their lungs, whether it is researching treatments & cures for lung disease, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air well all breathe.
