Prepare, cook and serve a meal at the Day Shelter -United Caring Services serves 3 free meals a day - 365 days a year. Each meal has an average of 140 guests. The staff will have the menu items ready for you or your team upon arrival. If you serve with a group from church, work, friends, etc., you may choose to have a meal catered (UCS will not be financially responsible to cover catered meals, this is at volunteers expense). The best thing about making a meal is there is no clean up. Our guests will do all the clean up!
With Covid 19, volunteers may not want to come to the shelter but still want to help. YOU CAN STILL HELP!!!!! Meals can be catered to the shelter. Prepare and drop off a complete meal or several local restaurants are still doing carry out/delivery services.

Description
United Caring Services is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization - a homeless shelter and services agency - that provides people in need access to crisis stabilization services through six programs: a day shelter (drop-in center) for men, women, and children, emergency shelters for single men and women, additional "white/red flag" emergency shelter during inclement weather, an innovative homeless medical respite for men and women, and 21 low income studio apartments. We strive to be a true Community of Caring for all people.
