Time commitment: 3-4 hrs per week

Vibha Bay Area is a chapter of Vibha, a 501 (3) (c) organization, that works for the benefit of underprivileged children. The organisation was formed in 1991, and has raised millions of dollars impaction billions of kids over time. For more information, please visit www.vibha.org

Summary of Role:
Director of Fundraising is a highly visible and critical role for the success of Vibha Bay Area. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about sharing Vibha’s mission and can develop and execute against major fundraising goals. This individual must be energetic, analytic, and process oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Develop annual fundraising plan for the chapter - this would entail working closely with the Executive Directors and other functional Directors of the chapter
• Identify fundraising opportunities that are appropriate and aligned with AC and Vibha’s mission.
• Lead a small team dedicated to fundraising efforts, including setting fundraising goals, proposing fundraising opportunities, and maintaining communication with key donors.
• Continuously motivate other volunteers to fundraise
• Work closely with the technology team to oversee and improve Vibha’s fundraising platforms
• Provide periodic updates to the AC executive team on various campaigns being run by the chapter and national team
• Report fundraising achievements to the AC executive team, and as appropriate to the wider Bay Area volunteers

Qualifications:

• Passion for making a difference in the community and being the change
• Prior fundraising experience is a plus
• Strong management skills
• Can communicate effectively and has good interpersonal skills
• Is positive and enthusiastic and has talent for building relationships
• Technology savvy and basic Excel skills
