"Support our military service members and veterans en route to their next destination by serving at the YMCA Military Welcome Center at Will Rogers World Airport!
Responsibilities:
* Provide joint YMCA/Red Cross briefings to new recruits heading to basic training at Fort Sill. * Provide Red Cross preparedness and emergency communication information to visiting recruits and veterans. * Engage with the visitors to fill out family contact cards and ensure cards are returned to the Red Cross to be processed. *Identify potential additional needs visitors might have, such as housing or travel assistance, complete a Red Cross client intake sheet and refer their case to a Red Cross SAF caseworker to assist them. *Re-stock welcome center supplies. *Assist basic trainees to correct dispatch area for departure to Fort Sill. *Maintain records of number of clients served each shift. * Provide additional support, as appropriate."
