Grant Writer for Soldiers For Wildlife Inc.
2 people are interested
We are looking for someone with previous grant writing experience to help us look for essential funding to grow our initiative. Soldiers for Wildlife is a conservation initiative in Africa run by U.S veterans with 4 core elements: creating elite anti poaching units, the funding and preservation of wildlife reserves, upliftment of local communities, and education.
This project is rapidly growing, feel free to check out our website at Soldiersforwildlife.org or in instagram @ Soldiers_For_Wildlife
Thus far, we have received all our donor funds for individuals and small business' which has kept us alive and allowed us to push forward. Because we are only two years old, we still fit into the category of 'Start-up' non profits, which we know there any many foundations and organizations that fund specifically those entities. On the other hand, we are also looking for larger grants for our ongoing projects.
compile a list of possible targets to apply for their grant opportunities that fit our mission. The good thing is, since we are heavily involved in anti poaching, community development in the 3rd world, and education, we would have a large number of possibilities.
After the list is obtained, begin to put together each application.
To make things easier, we do have a long list of things we need in the field, if that helps. As we already know, the more specific we are with the things we need, the better and we can absolutely do that!
Due to COVID 19, some of us are stateside and are willing to help anyone who ins interested in helping us with answering any questions readily.
Hope to hear from some positive volunteers that want to help us!
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About Soldiers For Wildlife
16 Delongis ct, Sparkill, NY 10976, US
Soldiers For Wildlife is dedicated to the conservation of Africa's most iconic species and to directing action against those determined to drive them to extinction.
Soldiers For Wildlife is an organization that aims to train, equip and recruit wildlife scouts to enhance the protection of Africa's most endangered species. The ivory and illegal wildlife trade is decimating populations of elephants and rhino at rates of over 30,000 elephants a year and thousands of rhino. These species could be gone from the wild within the next decade if nothing is done. The political climate across Africa is extremely corrupt, therefore it is up to the funds from the western world and the boots on the ground in Africa to defend what is left of this dying global treasure. Soldiers For Wildlife is an organization that aims to turn the tides of this struggle in the animals favor and to ensure a future for these animals.
Through a strong social media presence, we hope to educate our followers on the realities of this gruesome trade.
We'll work with your schedule.
