During the next few months we ask that anyone that wants to volunteer be comfortable doing remote work to not get infected by the covid-19 virus.
The organization is accepting volunteers that wants to gain experience working on team projects that would benefit the public within the organization's purposes. This opportunity is for inexperienced and experience developers. Use of the volunteer's skills will be tested in hackathons, and when we publish application on the apple store and Google play. Skills that will be improved are team collaborations, communication, how well you adapt to different coding languages, and how much you understand front end and back end code.
Specific COVID-19 project(s) that we are currently working on:
TasteMatch - application that matches people through food. We are currently modifying this to supply people that need food and supplies. Will be published through iOS & android. Uses: react-native front-end & backend, google firebase, google analytics, android and iOS development.
MealTicket - app that navigates users to the nearest location with excess food. Will need modification due to current events. Uses: TomTom APi, reactjs, reactnative, android, and iOS development.
Volunteers that want to establish a strong affiliation to the organization are asked to gift $250 to advance the organization's funds to increase our trainee training library, maintaining the Android and Apple developer account for publishing applications, and other services essential for the organization and it's members.

The organization also competes in hackathons and designathons to challenge volunteers and trainees to complete projects within the span of hours.
As a scientific research organization concerning food, we also encourage volunteers to post educational videos about exercise and nutrition to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
