During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
To ensure that our community has access to food and supplies during the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Jewish Family Service Weinberg Food Pantry is seeking healthy volunteers to help sort food, pack boxes, distribute boxes, and assist with the arrival of donations. Volunteers must dress appropriately for a warehouse setting and be comfortable with lifting cans and boxes. Children ages 12 and over are welcome to volunteer with an adult.
In an effort to take every precaution and prioritize health and safety for our clients, volunteers, and staff, people in need of food will not be entering the pantry. Boxes of food will be distributed by a "drive-thru" system directly outside of the pantry. Please do not volunteer if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness or are in a higher-risk category.
