Healing California will be providing free dental and vision care at the Annual Sacramento Stand Down Clinic to homeless and at-risk veterans and their families at McClellan Convention Center.
We need your help to deliver much-needed services to our homeless and at-risk veterans and their families. We will be offering dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions. We will also be offering eye exams, glasses made on-site and glasses dispensing on site.
General Support: Setup, Registration, Logistic, Breakdown, etc.,
Dental: Oral Surgeons, General Dentists, Hygienists, Assistants, and X-ray Technicians
Vision: Optometrists, Ophthalmologists, Opticians, and Optometric, Ophthalmic and vision lab technicians
Medical: Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and EMT’s
We provide all the equipment, supplies, logistical and any other support our volunteers need so all you need to do is show up and use your skills, qualifications, and experience to take care of patients. The process is quick, simple and free for both our patients and volunteers. We have morning, afternoon and full-day shifts.

Healing California seeks to increase the health status of individuals and Veterans by providing low-barrier, comprehensive dental and vision services at no cost to patients. Upon receiving Healing California’s services, patients are on a path to better health and have expressed their confidence to pursue gainful employment and personal stability.
We recruit licensed, professional volunteers to provide dental and vision care at no charge to Veterans and those in need at pop-up Community Health Clinics and Veteran Stand Downs throughout the state.
We set-up fully equipped dental field stations, where our patients receive complete dental exams and treatment from licensed, volunteer Dentists, Oral Surgeons, Hygienists, and other dental professionals.
We set-up complete vision exam stations and a fully equipped prescription lens lab at our clinics. Volunteer optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians, and vision technicians provide full-eye exams and fabricate custom prescription eyeglasses on-site, at no charge to patients (usually within an hour or so of their exams).
Our 20 dental chairs and 5 vision lanes enable us to serve up to 150 dental patients and 125 vision patients per day.
