1236 Native Trees and Shrubs were planted in Neshaminy State Park from 2020-2022 by Excel Events on the river trail
Come volunteer in 2024 helping out by tending the already planted 1200 trees and shrubs in cages and tubex. We removed invasive mile a minute then reforested this area back into native habitat. Come volunteer in Neshaminy State park for this Riparian Buffer project. This project helped lessen storm water in a priority flood zone grant funded through TreeVitalize and Keystone 10 Million Trees. 400 volunteers helped reforest 2.25 acres in Neshaminy State Park, PA. Just north of Philadelphia.About this Event

Reforestation, Beautification of Neshaminy State Park, Help with storm water management in a priority area, remove invasive plants, Provide Habitat for wildlife and migrating birds, provide Native flowering shrubs for insects, provide Native Trees for insects.

In the Fall of 2020 we started the Reforestation of 2 acres of area currently cover by invasive plants.
We planted:
-100 Native trees and 22 native shrubs from this Treevitalize grant.
-separately an additional 225 Trees/Shrubs from 10 Million Trees for a total of 347 trees in 2020.
We planted 325 trees expanding the area in the 2nd phase of the project in the spring of 2021 funded by
-Treevitalize 125 Trees from this grant
-separately Keystone 10 Million Trees provided 200 bareroot trees.
We need volunteers to help clear the site from invasives and install cages around then plan the trees.

Description
Excel Events provides positive things to do in Bucks County, PA. We organize volunteer events and pursue grant funding for our community. From erosion control, to helping lessen flood water through planting native trees and shrubs in riparian buffers to reforestation and best management practices, Excel Events is a nonprofit solution for empowering people to participate in positive projects in their communities.
When you volunteer with Excel Events you will learn how to identify and remove invasive plants, learn native forest and then manage a forest from PHS advanced tenders. Learn about new, policies, laws and initiatives that help steward our environment. Learn about our local watershed and best management practices developed by per reviewed research at Penn State extension from Master Watershed Stewards.

- Sturdy Boots, gloves, plan on getting dirty pulling weeds and vines and moving around deer protection. We also remove invasive plants from the site. It is a large property so there is always some work to do.
