Mission Statement
Our mission is to facilitate communications, build partnerships and promote stewardship and sustainability across the watershed." Our vision is a high quality, sustainable Little Miami Watershed for people and wildlife now and in the future
Description
We started when neighbors who were concerned about the trash in the LMR met in 2010 and have been hosting canoe based cleans ups since then. We have removed over 900 tires and 12 tons of trash. We also conduct stream quality monitoring to find the quality of the rivers water 3 times a summer. We host a Trailblazer Adventure, a family friendly bike, hike and paddle event that lets people explore a part of the corridor each summer. We put medallions on storm drains reminding people that only water goes down the drain. We are conducting a Economic Evaluation of the upper river. We have a speakers bureau that has given over 170 presentations in the last 2.5 years.
