OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The 2020 Team Unity Harlem Renaissance Experience Consist of three (3) community events.
- 2020 Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic
- 2020 Harlem Health Zone
- 2020 Harlem Vintage Renaissance
SPECIFIC TASKS
- Set up tables and/or tents
- Greet attendees and answer questions
- Manage the flow of the crowd
- Volunteer recruitment
- Tear down tables and/or tents
TIME REQUIRED
2-6 HOURS DEPENDING ON EVENT AND NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS WORKING THE EVENT
QUALIFICATIONS
- The desire and motivation to educate the public about protecting the natural environment.
- The ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- The ability to become knowledgeable of Harlem's various cultural programs and educational opportunities.
- Ability to tolerate inclement weather including humidity, heat, rain, cold, lightning and noise.
EXPERIENCE Prior experience is beneficial but not required.
TRAINING REQUIRED On the job training will be provided.
LENGTH OF COMMITMENT Special event day volunteers typically commit to a one-day event.

Mission Statement
Team Unity, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that supports the advancement of multicultural education. Our mission area concentrates within the Greater New York City Metropolitan Regions but we will support national and international efforts. This includes but not limited to endorsing strategies and materials throughout the education system that were developed to assist facilitators when responding to the many issues created by the rapidly changing demographics of their students’ populations. This nonprofit will also endorse educational curriculums that incorporate knowledge about the histories, cultures, and contributions of diverse groups, and it assumes that the future of all societies are pluralistic. As a public charity, Team Unity, Inc. will fundraise through exhibitions, performances, publications and sporting events that promote cultural criticism; Therefore, promoting decision-making and critical thinking while moving toward pluralism.
Description
Since 1994 Team Unity, Inc. has devoted its energy to passionately advocating for the need of Multicultural Education in our schools and community. Most notably through the Arts, Culinary and the Sciences.This 501 (c) 3 nonprofit will also endorse educational curriculumthat incorporate knowledge about the histories, cultures, and contributions of diverse groups, and it assumes that the future of all societies will be pluristic.
