During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Open Door Legal is pioneering the country’s first system of universal access to civil representation and working to show that when everyone has access to the law, poverty can be dramatically reduced.
We won the 2015 Google Impact Challenge and we’ve been recognized by the Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation for our innovative, results-oriented program. Long-term, we plan to replicate our services across San Francisco, make this city the first in the country with universal access to civil representation, and become a model for national replication.
We’re only going to achieve this if we continue our tradition of hiring the best possible people. Our team is extremely passionate, quixotic, energetic, loves tackling tough problems, and believes in continuous personal growth.
We believe injustice is the heart of poverty and we invite you to join us in having a systemic impact on how we, as a society, ensure justice for the poor.

As we've expanded to meet the needs of the community, more and more Spanish-speaking clients are coming to us for help. Our main priority is not turning anyone away and effectively addressing all their civil legal needs. But our current translators and interpreters are overbooked and we need volunteers to help us with client intakes!
If you have excellent emotional intelligence, customer service, and multi-tasking skills, this is a great opportunity for you! You must be fluent in spoken and written Spanish. Familiarity with legal terminology is a bonus! Hours can be flexible, but must be during the hours of 9 am-5 pm, Mondays through Fridays.
The law belongs to all of us.

Open Door Legal is pioneering universal access to civil legal representation and showing that when everyone has access to the law, poverty can be dramatically reduced.
We are a new, rapidly growing, and innovative nonprofit that has been operational for a little more than three years. In that time we have increased our budget twenty-fold and even been recognized by Google for our innovative programming. Ultimately, we plan to become a city-wide agency, make San Francisco the first city in the country with universal access to legal representation, and become a model for national replication.
We offer the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-growing organization with room for creativity, growth, and a lot of autonomy.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
