Teach English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) from the comfort of your own home! We are currently developing a virtual ESOL classroom, and are recruiting teachers who are comfortable with technology and are interested in conducting lessons to adult language learners over an online platform.

Lesson plans, curriculum, and training for online teaching best-practices will be provided. No foreign language proficiency is required. Volunteers are asked to commit to teach one class per week for a twelve week semester.

Morning classes: 9:30am-11:30am
Evening classes: 7:00pm- 9:00pm

Description

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Arlington's Newcomer Services is made up of two departments - Hogar Immigrant Services and Migration and Refugee Services.
Hogar Immigrant Services responds to the Church’s call for social justice by welcoming the stranger to this country, regardless of ethnicity, religion, nationality, or ability to pay.
Migration and Refugee Services is one of 104 national affiliates of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Since its founding in 1975, the office has resettled and assisted over 30,000 refugees and asylees in the Northern Virginia community.
