Volunteers are needed for our exciting Urban Farm Community Garden being built at the North Kansas City YMCA. We are looking for experienced volunteers in the early stages to support the building of the raised beds and the greenhouses in mid-March and early April. We are looking for groups of volunteers to come on days between March 26th and April 10th from 8AM-2PM. Throughout these couple weeks, volunteers will with assembling a green house, help with build raised beds, and help with planting an orchard.
Please email NatalieUpdyke@KansasCityYMCA.org to discuss possible volunteer shifts related to the Urban Farm construction. Please have prepared the number of volunteers you are seeking an opportunity for, the age of the volunteers, work experience related to gardens or construction work as well as your availability between the weeks of March 26th and April 10th. Where construction or garden experience isn't required for this opportunity, it is helpful for us to know if some of our volunteers have skills we could utilize for this project.
