Canopy is recruiting education volunteers! Do es bringing classes of K-2nd graders outdoors into the sunshine to observe and learn about trees on their school campus sound like fun to you? What about teaching 4th graders about tree structure and function through the lens of tree-derived herbs and spices, like bay leaves and pink peppercorn? All of our K-12 lessons get students outside to explore and investigate trees and the different roles they play, from helping to feed us to contributing to carbon storage and nutrient cycling. If you are interested in helping Canopy as an education volunteer, please contact us. A background in education is not necessary!
