Vigil Volunteers are a highly valued and vital part of the Sanctuary Hospice team. Helping our patients and their families during the last days and hours with emotional presence and support, so no one has to die alone. Sharing your compassion, gifts and talents to impact someone at the end of life’s journey can be the most rewarding experience. We will make sure you are well-trained, equipped, and supported by our hospice staff. Caring for patients in Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula, Geauga, Medina, Trumbull, Mahoning and Summit Counties.

Sanctuary pledges to provide expert hospice care for the comfort and dignity of the terminally ill by addressing their individual physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Sanctuary Hospice serves as a resource to the community for end-of-life care and related issues and seeks to provide care for all appropriate patients and families who need hospice services regardless of ability to pay.
Description
Hospice Volunteers come from all walks of life, yet they all share a common desire-to enrich their own lives and the lives of others by giving generously of their time, energy and talents. Volunteers are an integral part of our hospice team. Once trained they may work in several areas: Administrative, Direct Patient Care Visitation for companionship and support, Bereavement support, Pet therapy, Music Therapy and many other Special Alternative Complementary services.
