Please visit the new page to apply.
Bridges Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking compassionate military veterans to serve terminally ill veterans in hospice care. Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers assist by providing companionship and support that is unique to veterans through regular visits with the patient and their family.
Bridges Hospice cares for patients and their families through a team-based approach. Hospice care addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient and family with doctors, nurses, aids, social workers, chaplains and volunteers.
We provide comprehensive training on how to support hospice patients and their families as well as ongoing support and training for volunteers on our Patient Service Volunteer team. Volunteers must complete the required training and are asked to commit to 2-4 hours of service weekly.
