Adults who struggle with basic reading and writing are at a huge disadvantage, unless they can find volunteer tutors. Colton Public Library's Advance to Literacy program changes the lives of people who find basic reading and writing a challenge. This is a commitment of two to four hours per week, for at least six months. Tutors and their students meet at a time that is convenient for both parties. All materials and training are provided by the library at no charge.

In particular, we are seeking a tutor available on weekday mornings for an adult in need of GED preparation guidance.
