Year-Round Volunteer Opportunities

At Langton Green, we believe that adults with disabilities can choose to live independent, full and healthy lives. We provide several residential living options and a range of services and supports designed to guide and teach new skills and help individuals find ways to live the lives they choose.

Our newest venture, Langton Green Community Farm provides vocational training and work opportunities for interested individuals while serving as a source of food and income for our organization--and a resource for the wider community.

Langton Green Community Farm is dedicated to providing access to fresh vegetables and fruits to the community will support. We provide employment and support through our animal care and farming program to community of adults with intellectual and developmental disability in our community.

If the community we support and what we do interests you, we'd love for you be a part of our volunteer family.

We are looking for year-round volunteers who will commit a couple of hours a week on our farm.

We provide flexible schedule every day of the week between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. We are open to individual volunteers, seniors and large groups volunteers of all ages.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• General animal care
• Seeding for spring farming season
• Planting, weeding and harvesting
• Soil and garden preparation
• Basic farm infrastructure maintenance

There is no farming or gardening experience needed. Closed toed shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirt, are required. Drop ins are welcome every weekend at 844 General Highway, Millersville, Maryland 21108
