Are you looking for a chance to make a difference in your community? A way to have a real impact on climate issues that directly affect you, your business, your friends and neighbors and future generations?

Join our CPACE committee that is working to promote a new policy recently authorized in Deschutes County: Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy . We educate the community and stakeholders on the opportunities to finance water conservation, efficiency, renewable energy, EV Charging, Energy Storage and other resiliency improvements.

Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (CPACE) financing is a special financing tool that helps pay for clean energy and energy efficiency upgrades to commercial buildings. Our focus with this tool is to encourage its use for low-income housing, allowing building owners to upgrade their buildings and increase equity while lowering the energy costs for tenants.

The committee will meet monthly on 3rd Thursdays from 5-6 pm. Tasks for individuals to accomplish to further the cause will be designated during meetings, BUT you can still be helpful if you can't make the meetings.

This opportunity offers the chance for committee members to network with others in the community. You'll also learn or hone skills such as communication with government officials, research, graphic design, giving virtual, public presentations, and more! We hope you'll join us and help our community work towards a more sustainable future!
