Join ComEd and the Chicago Park District as they #SwitchOnSummer2023. This annual event will feature more than a dozen of Chicagoland’s most beloved organizations to help the city spring into summer with the official season-changing signal - turning on the Buckingham Fountain. The festivities will include free giveaways, family-friendly activities, and live entertainment.

Description
Founded in 1988 and celebrating its 35th year in 2023, Chicago Special Events Management (SEM) has grown to become the largest producer of events in the Midwest. These range in size from fundraising runs & walks that draw 500-10,000 participants, to weekend-long art and street festivals that attract between 15,000-150,000 attendees. SEM has a full-time staff of 32 employees and produces 100-plus events of every shape and size each year. All of the events produced by SEM support a non-for-profit beneficiary in the community.
