ORGANIZATION: Sertoma Centre, Inc.

  • 5 people are interested

Sertoma Centre provides support to nearly 2,000 individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities and those living with mental illness. We are a local CARF accredited nonprofit with locations in Alsip and Matteson, Illinois.

Become a Virtual Club Leader:

Consumer Clubs are integral to Sertoma's mission, in that they support our person-centered programming model with additional, personalized group activities.

We are in need of ambitious volunteers who are looking for an ongoing daytime opportunity. Club Leaders will work with the Volunteer Services Manager to identify a club category/topic that best fits their skills and interests. Ideally, we're looking for skilled volunteers who can lead weekly, or bi-weekly clubs, and are prepared for a multiple month commitment.

We're eager to add a number of clubs to our existing roster. We currently have clubs including art, faith, reading & comprehension, and fitness.

Perhaps you have a green thumb and could lead a Virtual Horticulture Club. Maybe you love eating healthy and want to start a Virtual Nutrition Club. Math Club, Dance Club... The possibilities are numerous.

This volunteer opportunity is great for individuals of college-age and older with creative energy and patience.

**Volunteer/Service Hours available.
