The Akron Area YMCA is looking for awesome people to mentor students ranging from K - 5th grade in the Summer Development Program. Volunteering as a Mentor is a wonderful opportunity to enrich the lives of children living in our community through an evidence-based program including nutrition, recipe sampling, reading, physical activity, and other creative activities and games. Mentors volunteer approximately 3 hours per week from June 22 - August 21, 2020, and are provided with all materials, supplies, and training needed to create fun, positive, life-changing experiences for students. This rewarding opportunity is open to those in high school and up. The ideal Mentor is reliable, organized, punctual, and has a passion for helping children succeed in education and in life. If you are interested in becoming an Akron Area YMCA Summer Camp Mentor, please contact Jenna Messina, Youth Development Coordinator at 330-376-1335 ext. 1035 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
