The Akron Area YMCA is looking for awesome people to mentor students ranging from K - 5th grade in the Summer Development Program. Volunteering as a Mentor is a wonderful opportunity to enrich the lives of children living in our community through an evidence-based program including nutrition, recipe sampling, reading, physical activity, and other creative activities and games. Mentors volunteer approximately 3 hours per week from June 22 - August 21, 2020, and are provided with all materials, supplies, and training needed to create fun, positive, life-changing experiences for students. This rewarding opportunity is open to those in high school and up. The ideal Mentor is reliable, organized, punctual, and has a passion for helping children succeed in education and in life.
