Deliver meals to seniors in Grundy County, Illinois

Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver meals throughout Grundy County, I as shown below:
Morris Route (Back-up drivers needed starting at 10:30am
Gardner -- Pick up at the United Methodist Church in Coal City and will take approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete.
Minooka -- Drivers needed on Thursday. Route will take approximately 1 hour to complete.
Coal City -- Drivers needed on Mondays. Pick up meals for delivery from United Methodist Church in Coal City. Route will take approximately 90 minutes to complete.
**We are also looking for drivers to take meals from Saratoga Towers (Morris, IL) to the Coal City United Methodist Church and to the Minooka Village Hall Volunteer Meal transport Driver.
Volunteers receive training and support, along with mileage reimbursement.

Our vision is to live in an environment where seniors and persons with disabilities are valued and are an active part of our community. We currently serve nearly 600,000 meals a year to over 7,500 seniors and persons with disabilities in Suburban Cook, Kendall & Grundy Counties.

Join us for lunch!
Fight against hunger by giving back to the older adults in your community! The Community Nutrition Network needs your help serving meals at our café sites as well as delivering meals to homebound adults. These opportunities can last anywhere from 1-3 hours and are located at various sites throughout the northern Illinois area.
At The Community Nutrition Network, we strive to keep older adults and persons with disabilities an active part of their community by providing them with the support they need. Much more than a meal, our programs combat depression and isolation, offers companionship, and provides safety checks for homebound adults.
