Be part of the Birthday Bunch: Volunteers write birthday cards to ElderPlace participants. Participants live throughout King County. This is especially important now as many seniors are very isolated.
We are in need of volunteers to send birthday cards to our participants. Providing cards for 50-100 participants would be ideal. Groups could build relationships with Participants from their community and become pen pals if desired.
This is an excellent group volunteer opportunity.
Volunteer Duties:
- Acquire or make birthday cards. (Providence ElderPlace will provide cards if desired)
- Include a personal message to each participant in their card. Drawings and inspirational or cheerful messages are also welcome.(First names will be provided by the Volunteer Coordinator) Be creative!!
- This can be a one time or ongoing project.
- Volunteer Coordinator can pick up the finished cards or you can deliver or send.
A virtual volunteer orientation and time for questions will be provided before the start of the project. The Volunteer Coordinator is available for support.

Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of health care and social services for older adults. Our model of care is known as PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly).Participants attend the Providence ElderPlace Center on a regular basis, and transportation is provided. The ElderPlace team of health care and social service professionals and our affiliates provide comprehensive integrated care to our participants.
