Kids, Creeks, CATS

Catamount Institute's mission is connecting kids to the outdoors, and we always are looking for community members to help us in this endeavor!

We are looking for any and all who would like to share their love of the outdoors with Colorado Spring's youths. The journey of every outdoor lover often begins in childhood, and anyone who can help us provide positive, safe, and inclusive experiences for our program participants is encouraged to join our team! No prior experience necessary! We provide all program plans, materials, training, etc.

We've been a part of the Colorado Springs community for +20 years, help us make it +20 more!

Mission Statement

Connecting Kids to the Outdoors! Through fun, safe, and inclusive outdoor environmental education programs, we aim to connect every youth to the outdoors!

Catamount Institute is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting kids with nature through meaningful outdoor experiences. What's more, children learn that they have the powerful ability to protect and nurture the natural world. It is these young nature lovers that will be tomorrow's stewards of the earth.

We use science and adventure-based activities to create a well-rounded outdoor opportunity for our participants.
