Give back through volunteering-great for retirees, community service needs, church volunteers, business and students.
Patient Care Volunteers
Companion Hospice is looking for volunteers willing to spend time with our patients located in private homes, group homes, and skilled nursing facilities. Volunteers provide non-medical care, which includes 'bedside manner' activities such as reading to patients, writing letters, playing games, sharing stories/life experiences, etc.
Office Volunteers
Looking for some experience working in medical office environment? Companion Hospice is looking for administrative help in our busy office-answering phones/making calls, filing, running errands, helping with patient files, data entry, etc.

Description
Volunteerism is the heart and soul of hospice. Caring community members give a wide range of loving support such as providing respite to the family, assisting with meal preparation, running errands, music therapy, pet therapy, reading, assisting with basic needs around the house, facilitating special projects and providing companionship.
